Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects
Operate HDD Locator equipment in accordance with company and industry standards
Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor
Install conduit vaults and cable work when not locating
Maintain all equipment in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand
Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain a clean drivers abstract and valid fulldrivers license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven CDL preferred
Successful completion of preemployment drug & alcohol requirements
Two years of experience locating for a directional drill or combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industryrelated trade certification or education program
Working knowledge of health safety and environmental protection practices and procedures
Must be able to track and communicate daily production and materials
Work Conditions:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot cold rain snow and sleet) and perform work on uneven surfaces
