Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Infrastructure Central Finance team. The role will manage planning and analysis of AWS operating expenses (OpEx) in data centers servers and networking equipment that allow AWS to serve customers across the globe.
This role is responsible for driving business insights across the AWS Infrastructure Finance organization for Business and Finance Leadership. The position focuses on analyzing performance managing futureoriented financial planning and enhancing organizational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities Develop and maintain the financial planning processes for AWS Infrastructure OpEx; track actual spend and bridge variances to plan; write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure OpEx to senior leadership.
Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize streamline and prioritize improvements remove roadblocks and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
Partner with and proactively communicate across the AWS finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
Support adhoc requests from finance and business executives.
A day in the life In this role you will be the AWS Infrastructure OpEx subject matter expert and will lead the analysis consolidation and presentation of AWS financials to senior leadership. This includes developing and implementing efficient data consolidation mechanisms summarizing key business insights for both business and finance stakeholders and innovating new frameworks to enhance decisionmaking.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) MBA or CPA
