The pharmacy resident is a pharmacist in training who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through structured integrated medication management systems and clinical services. The resident will be a selfdirected motivated learner who works independently but under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Residency Program Director (RPD).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of ND or has pharmacy intern license in state of ND. If candidate is not licensed they must be licensed within 90 days of their residency as outlined in the residency policy and procedures.
Educational Requirements
Residents must have a Pharm. D. degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy within 90 days of their residency.
Experience Requirements
Good understanding of pharmacology and therapeutics acquired through a combination of didactic and clerkship experience.
Experience in general health system pharmacy operations including but not limited to unit dose and I.V. admixtures is preferred.
Special Skills or Training Requirements
The resident should have above average academic performance and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals administrators and patients.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft computer programs including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
