As a Maintenance Repairman 2 you will performvarious skilled and semiskilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings grounds machinery and equipment at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. You will perform plumbing and general carpentry repair and install walls ceilings floors door frames windows piping plumbing fixtures sinks and lavatories. You will also open clogged waste drains sewers and toilets. This role requires the ability to determine proper work methods and procedures while ensuring efficient completion of priority repairs. In addition you will repair and install heating coils water heating lines and electrical lighting fixtures as well as use various power tools while performing groundskeeping duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday Wednesday with a 30minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs. You will work every weekend and have Thursday and Friday off.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building electrical or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges Skills and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Drivers License.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Willingness and ability to work in Scranton Pennsylvania (Lackawanna County)
- Any formal training (high school vocational program apprenticeship or posthigh school technical training program) in a skilled building electrical or mechanical trade
- Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Experience in commercial carpentry
- Experience working in the electrical trade field
- Experience in the plumbing trade
- Experience with 3phase wiring to include emergency generators Automatic Transfer Switches switch gears and 3phase panels
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves recirculating loops aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters
- Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC) as it relates to repairs of buildings
- Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings
- Experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings at a longterm care facility

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
