The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for a Staff Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the inpatient orthopedics setting.
- Provide quality patient care evaluation assessment and treatment appropriate for patients needs. Assignment will primarily be to adult inpatient acute care setting
- Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs
- Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner
- Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality
- Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public
- Performs special projects and tasks as assigned

Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelors degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required
- Entry level experience in physical therapy in an inpatient acute care setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
Desirable Qualifications:
- 13 years ofexperience in Physical Therapy
- 13 yearsof experience in providing physical therapy primarily to adults in an inpatient orthopedics setting.
- Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
