Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Patient Transporter must escort transfer and transport patients safely and effectively from point of entry to Clinics and to and from diagnostic testing areas as needed. Assist with patients checking in on the Kiosk and provide directions to patients and visitors at the point of entry of the hospital.
- Greet customers listen be courteous and escort patients to requested destinations throughout the hospital and clinics.
- Provide a comfortable atmosphere for waiting customers and updated waiting customers periodically
- Provide a warm handoff of patient/visitor with receptionist or access rep at the location which they are visiting throughout Amberwell
- Transports stable patients to the clinics and to and from diagnostic testing areas (such as CT Xray and Lab).
- Transporters are to assist the patient with his/her restroom needs as necessary.
- Able to safely transfer patients using a transfer device such as a wheelchair or other hospitalapproved devices.
- Cleans transport equipment between each patient use.
- Locates and redistributes equipment to perform transport.
- Provides directions to families and or visitors
- Helps to identify problems offers solutions and participates in their resolutions.
- Assist patients with checkin at the KIOSK
- Requires a focus on customer services customer satisfaction and excellent communication skills.
