Job Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Banding: Band 7
Location: Leigh Lancashire
Working Hours: Fulltime Permanent
Rate:per year

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work for our client based in Leigh Lancashire. The post is available to start as soon as possible.

What will your responsibilities be

Works under the supervision of a senior occupational therapist.

Provides technical and creative skills for clientcentred therapeutic activities.

Designs implements and coordinates activities for various environments and clients.

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for house or communitybased activities.

Suggests and implements methods based on therapists evaluation to achieve treatment aims.

Evaluates activities in consultation with the occupational therapist. Maintains uptodate records and activity data.

Plans interventions considering current risk factors for safe service delivery.

Facilitates group or individual work and plans treatment methods independently. Monitors clients progress considering their environment and activity.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Experience with mental health
  • Must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience with an acute hospital setting
  • NHS experience desirable
