About the role:

This position is suited to a person with current clinical expertise in a relevant area with an openness to developing capacity to teach across multiple areas of the curriculum and a passion for developing and delivering high quality and relevant learning for speech pathology students. A keen interest in engagement with the disability sector to support teaching and employability is also necessary.

As a Speech Pathology Lecturer (Industry Professional) you will:

  • Deliver effective teaching practices and suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices to achieve student learning experiences to support success and engagement
  • Apply industry clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences success engagement and resources.
  • Contribute to unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula clinical/professional education experiences and learning resources.
  • Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements.
  • Support the development and delivery of clinicallyfocussed learning opportunities across the curriculum

To be successful youll have:

  • Master of Speech Pathology or above and/or other relevant qualifications with relevant professional experience;
  • Recent (within the last five years) speech pathology practice experience
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs.
  • Capacity to contribute to innovative curriculum design.
  • Demonstrated capacity for building collaborative partnerships with varied people/organisations
