Job Description
Lafayette Animal Hospital is actively looking for an entrylevel Technician Assistant. We are seeking an organized compassionate and serviceoriented individual who is willing to learn and grow. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing andLafayette Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. Pay Range:$16 $18 (based on experience)
Hours:30 40 hours per week
Job Details:
- Animal care:Assisting with restraint and handling during procedures assisting with medication administration monitoring vital signs and preparing samples for laboratory examination.
- Cleaning and maintenance:Cleaning and disinfecting cages kennels and exam rooms;sterilizing instruments and equipment;and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
- 1 years in the veterinary industry (preferred)
- Tuesday Saturday schedule (required)
- Believes in the importance of client education
- Compassionate toward our patients and clients
- Motivated to learn new skills
- Positive and supportive team player
- Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stay on task and work energetically for an entire shift.

About the Hospital:
Lafayette Animal Hospital is a fastpaced hybrid clinic that offers general practice services along with urgent care and emergency care for our patients. We are open from 86 Monday through Friday and 82 Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.
