Job Description
Strasburg Care Center is looking for a nurse to fill the position of Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist & Quality Assurance Coordinator. This position is for an RN will be full time.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program holding a current & unencumbered license.
- 3 or more years of nursing experience preferably in long term care
- Education & experience in quality assurance and infection prevention preferred
Major Duties & Responsibilities but not limited too
- Develop & implement an ongoing infection prevention & control program to prevent recognize and control the onset & spread of infections in order to provide a safe sanitary and comfortable environment.
- Establish a facility wide system for the prevention identification reporting investigation and control of infections & communicable diseases of residents staff and visitors.
- Oversee the antibiotic stewardship program.
- Oversee resident care activities that increase risk of infection (i.e. use and care of urinary catheters wound care incontinence care skin care pointofcare blood testing medication injections).
- Participation on the QAA Committee.
- Works with DON and administrator to ensure compliance with all applicable state & federal laws.
