You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Corporate Security Advisor will provide expert leadership on complex security assignments/projects. Plans organizes and directs the activities involved in the preservation of the organizations peace and security. Advises on and interprets policies procedures and regulations. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Corporate Security but works on broader projects which require understanding of the wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert and resource.
Administers and manages the corporate security programs within the assigned site or sites within an area of responsibility. Manages specific security and safety programs to reduce losses and protect company assets including persons physical financial and information. Partners with corporate regional and site resources including others in Corporate Security/Global Security & Aviation Global Real Estate Human Resources Risk Management Corporate Safety Legal Business Resiliency Pharmacy Compliance Pharmacy Practice and site pharmacy or distribution operations management on security and safety related matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages site security guard forces according to department policies within assigned area or subregion. Ensures that security and safety programs are assigned to guard staff and completed according to department policies directives and in compliance with applicable regulations. Manages security and safety incident reporting and recordkeeping requirements according to department policies directives and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Manages security systems at company locations within the assigned area or subregion according to department policies directives and in compliance with applicable regulations. Coordinates security systems function within area or subregion communicating regularly with security systems and technology staff. Ensures that systems are inspected tested and serviced according to department standards. Conducts physical security assessments and surveys for each site; evaluating general building construction door hardware life safety locks/keys security systems (alarm card access CCTV intercom) and communicates findings and recommendations to department management and security systems staff.
Manages and conducts security investigations within the assigned area of responsibility. Conducts or supports internal security investigations in cases of theft violence threats or similar cases of misconduct. Coordinates security investigations with the Legal Ethics Office Pharmacy Compliance and/or Human Resources departments as needed. May conduct investigations under direction of Corporate Security department management or the Legal Department. Establishes and maintains relationships with law enforcement and key security contacts.
Supports and/or participates in internal and external audits regulatory reviews and inspections client reviews external professional accreditation reviews and assessments Pharmacy Compliance audits and/or other assessments reviews and audits.
May participate in insurance loss control/prevention reviews with Corporate Safety and/or Global Real Estate Services.
Serves as SubjectMatterExpert for security topics and issues. Creates security training and awareness materials and conducts training.
Recognizes responds to and recommends actions to address both potential and realized security and safety risks affecting personnel or property.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 10 years of core experience in corporate security or related field is required. Strong working knowledge of security practices physical security systems and hardware is required. Experience within a multiple facility environment and/or corporate security function at a largescale organization preferred.
Bachelors degree in security management social sciences business or equivalent experience is required.
Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) or similar security related certification is preferred. Training and/or certification in security and/or safety topics are desired.
Strong working knowledge of potentially applicable criminal and civil laws to security functions standards practices/recommendations and regulations to include but are not limited to those that may be promulgated by OSHA NFPA ASIS DEA and/or security regulations common to state boards of pharmacies.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle. A drivers license must be obtained within 30 days of employment and maintained in good standing. Additional professional security and investigative certifications and/or licenses may be required.
Ability to be oncall and respond to incidents on a 24hour basis and/or work on shortnotice and/or during nonstandard working hours.
General working knowledge of fire/life safety codes practices and standards. Working knowledge and experience with general building systems and construction practices.
Must be able to create policies programs procedures training/education materials specifications and provide input for Requests For Proposals (RFP).
Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office suite of products. Working knowledge and experience with networks communications devices alarm devices sensors & systemsdoor hardware basic building construction blueprints & plans and technical system specifications.
Ability to wear PPE including respirator. Ability to work in situations that may require work around hazards with heights and other nonstandard office environments.
Additional Details:
This role requires 1020% of travel.
Position may be based in either Florence New Jersey or Newark Delaware.
This role is located onsite and requires that most work should be performed at a Cigna office location but may allow for some work to be performed at home.
