Overview

Change Grow Liveare a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives offering support and respect in a safe environment treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.

Smokefree Lancashire has been commissioned to deliver the stop smoking service across 12 districts of Lancashire. Our goal is to make smoking cessation a priority for everyone. We provide advice and information to people who want to quit smoking and develop personalised plans during onetoone support sessions. We also offer groupwork sessions pharmacotherapy and deliver training to our partner agencies.

Full Time Salary:.53 (based on full time working hours pro rata for part time hours)

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Fulltime hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For parttime roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • To promote the benefits of stopping smoking and the stop smoking service.
  • To work as part of the specialist team providing brief advice and structured programmes.
  • Work as part of the NRT and Ecigarette protocol.
  • Support key workstreams to ensure that services are appropriately tailored and targeted to specific groups
  • Engage with the wider community to increase understanding of the impacts of smoking on health and wellbeing and encourage appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure all interventions are recorded accurately through record management systems

About you:

  • Understanding and knowledgeable of the harmful effects of smoking
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work undertaken
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
  • Communicate confidently and effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Show capacity to work alone and ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Respond appropriately and proactively to potential challenges in engaging peers and professionals
