Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join a leading cardiac care team in Pikeville Kentucky. The ideal candidate has at least 12 24 months of Cath Lab travel experience is confident in high-acuity cardiac procedures and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This RN will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide safe efficient and compassionate care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care during cardiac catheterizations angioplasties stent placements pacemaker insertions and electrophysiology studies

  • Administer and monitor moderate sedation

  • Monitor and document patient status before during and after procedures including hemodynamic and EKG monitoring

  • Circulate scrub or monitor as part of the Cath Lab team depending on case needs

  • Collaborate with physicians radiologic techs and cardiovascular techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields and assist with invasive procedures

  • Respond to emergencies such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest with appropriate interventions

  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols infection prevention and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the state of Kentucky (or compact license)

  • BLS and ACLS (AHA) Required

  • Minimum 12 24 months of recent Cath Lab travel experience (Required)

  • Proficient in circulating and monitoring Cath Lab procedures (scrub experience a plus)

  • Experience with moderate sedation and emergency response protocols

  • Ability to adapt quickly in new environments and work effectively with a multidisciplinary team

  • EP experience Preferred (but not required)
