Job Description
Sonographer/Ultrasound Technician-Womens Health (Trainer) Contract Role
- Location: Saranac Lake NY 12983
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2480 - $2760
- Schedule: 8-hour days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor new sonographers and clinical staff on techniques protocols and equipment use.
- Ensure image quality accuracy and consistency in all scans.
- Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures clearly.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage ultrasound equipment including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records and reports.
- Participate in ongoing education to stay current with industry standards and advancements.
Requirements:
- MUST BE FEMALE (for patient comfort and department policy in Womens Health).
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in womens health ultrasound (OB/GYN pelvic).
- Must be highly proficient in breast ultrasounds and biopsies.
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)-REQUIRED
- BLS Certification-Required
- Proven experience working in a Womens Health imaging setting.
- Strong interpersonal and training skills.
