Job Description
Purpose of the Role: The Automation Area Lead will be responsible the control system solution for an area within a project ensuring the solution is aligned with the overall program automation philosophy standards and user requirements. The area lead will work in conjunction with the other members of the Project Team including the Automation Project Manager Automation Technical Lead Automation Area Leads Process Engineers Tech Services/Manufacturing Science Representatives Quality Engineers and Operations.
Requirements
BS Engineering (or equivalent experience)
8 years working Automation experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (preferable in API/bulk manufacturing)
Previous Pharmaceutical Automation Large Project/Program experience/expertise
5 years experience in DeltaV Batch DCS
Preferable previous experience with AllenBradley PLCs
Exceptional teamwork abilities
Strong knowledge of GMP s regulatory requirements and computer system validation principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences

B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related work or project experience Experience with DeltaV DCS with Batch Experience working in a regulated, GMP manufacturing environment within the Life Sciences industry Familiarity with Data Integrity principles including, but not limited to 21 CFR Part 11. Energetic with desire to learn new skills on the job Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal oversight Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills Strong attention to detail Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technological or procedural issues Ability to work on-site during first shift with occasional, rotating responsibility for 24/7 off-shift support Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Systems Experience with OSIsoft PI Experience with Informetric Systems InfoBatch
