Our client a global healthcare company is seeking an experienced IT System Lead to own and manage critical laboratory applications including LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) logistics systems and SAP interfaces within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires a blend of functional expertise and technical proficiency to ensure seamless integration compliance and optimization of laboratory and production processes.
This is a contractual position through the end of 2025. With the likelihood of an extension into 2026. Occasional travel will be required to the clients plant facilities located in St. Wendel Germany & LArbresle France.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner for laboratory applications (LIMS logistics tools SAP interfaces) ensuring system reliability performance and alignment with business needs.
- Oversee endtoend system lifecycle management including upgrades patches and integrations.
- Provide expertise in laboratory processes for discrete batch and manual production environments.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. FDA GxP ISO).
- Partner with laboratory teams IT and manufacturing stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and enhance system functionality.
- Ensure systems adhere to regulatory requirements for validated environments.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations changes and validation processes.
- Provide advanced technical support for laboratory and logistics systems.
- Train endusers and technical staff on system functionalities and updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field.
- 5 years in IT system ownership preferably in manufacturing/laboratory environments.
- Handson experience with LIMS logistics systems and SAP interfaces.
- Proven knowledge of regulated production environments (pharma medical devices or similar).
- Strong understanding of system integration database management and cloudbased solutions.
- Familiarity with batch processing manual workflows and quality control systems.
- English (fluent) mandatory.
- German or French highly advantageous.
- Excellent problemsolving communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
5 7 years of experience in implementing and supporting Ariba solutions (Ariba SCC, Ariba SLP, Ariba Procurement). Knowledge of Ariba integration with SAP ERP or other systems is a plus. Strong understanding of procurement and invoicing processes. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. High Preference. Ariba certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Procurement). Experience with Ariba Network and Supplier Collaboration. Knowledge of cloud-based procurement solutions and best practices
