Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will work closely with other members of the Accounting/ Finance group to ensure timely and accurate completion of the monthend close process. This includes running queries and analyzing requested information. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries account reconciliations assist with audit requests and other adhoc requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with monthly close processing including preparation of general ledger reconciliations
- Prepares inputs and logs journal entries
- Assists in the preparation of tax notices and filings
- Processes expense reimbursements and check runs
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures
- Assists with internal and external accounting audits
- Assists in the implementation of process and system changes
- Any other duties and projects as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required
- Minimum 13 years of experience. Must possess at least one year of experience in a high volume fast paced accounting role
- CPA and/or MBA a plus but not required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Understanding of Financial Accounting Systems; Understanding of GAAP
