Overview
Gameloft Bucharest is seeking a Senior Game Designer with the expertise to make key contributions to an unannounced PC / console title.
As a Senior Game Designer you will play a vital role within our game development team working closely with the Lead Designer and Creative Director. Your responsibilities will include leading design efforts and collaborating with various stakeholders to create innovative and immersive gaming experiences. You will be responsible for designing gameplay mechanics systems levels and overall player progression and will ensure the successful implementation of game design concepts. Qualifications :
Your main challenges will include:
- Show great initiative and ownership over all design aspects and the overall execution of the game vision.
- Design fun and immersive gameplay mechanics systems and features to execute the game vision through the full cycle of production from concept to final stage
- Maintain strong communication with Creative Art and Programming teams to align all the elements into a common highquality vision for the game.
- Understand the specic considerations of designing for PC and console platforms. Ensure best practices are communicated and adhered to in the implementation of accessible gameplay mechanics and progression loops.
- Documentation script writing level design data entry and game balancing.
- Review deliverables (eg. design documents the game builds) and be able to provide considered constructive and prioritized feedback.
- Present and promote design solutions eectively to peers and management.
- Working in the Engine to prototype / improve various features.
- Engage in ideation processes under constraints (time IP game type).
- Produce game pitches/presentations for new and existing IPs for a multidisciplinary production team.
- Mentor junior and midlevel members of the Design team.
Qualifications:
- Considerable professional game design experience including at least one shipped title.
- Proactive enthusiastic team player comfortable working within a fastmoving multidisciplinary team.
- Passionate about games design and technology with a forwardthinking approach.
- Fast prototyping skills and openness to numerous iterations.
- Good knowledge of Unreal Engine Blueprint system. Knowledge of other Unreal Engine subsystems is a plus (animation graphs materials AI UMG Unreal Engine replication for multiplayer etc).
- Excellent organizational skills and methodology.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation specific to any of the teams involved in the process.
- Ability to communicate feedback to development teams.
- Good communication skills and able to work in a team.
