Job Description

Become one of the authors of our story. Join Auberge Resorts Collection as the Director of Technology New Openings and Transitions a highly strategic and handson leadership role responsible for delivering the full technology lifecycle for new hotel openings property transitions and major capital renovation projects. This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives at the intersection of hospitality operations IT infrastructure construction and technology innovation.

You will drive all aspects of technology design planning deployment and operational readiness for new properties and support the broader growth strategy of Auberge. Working closely with internal teams and external partners you will ensure each opening is operationally sound on time and futureready.

This role is based out of our Bethesda MD home office with travel up to 50% depending on the volume of projects. 

Project Management

  • Lead technology project planning design integration and execution for new openings property transitions and major renovations.

  • Manage the IT project lifecycle ensuring alignment with construction phases and operational needs.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans budgets timelines and risk management strategies.

  • Coordinate technology requirements with Development Design & Construction Operations and Finance teams throughout each project.

  • Deliver technology opening playbooks checklists and standards to ensure consistency and excellence across all properties.

Low Voltage and Construction Management

  • Collaborate with architects engineers and construction teams to embed IT requirements into building design and specifications.

  • Oversee the planning design review and installation of all low voltage systems including Structured Cabling AV WiFi BMS Security Systems and Voice systems.

  • Ensure technology infrastructure is properly sequenced with construction schedules to avoid delays and rework.

  • Conduct onsite inspections to verify proper installation configuration and testing of all IT systems and infrastructure.

Financial Management

  • Develop detailed preopening IT budgets and manage expenditures against project budgets.

  • Analyze vendor proposals and technology costs identifying value engineering and savings opportunities.

  • Support ownership and corporate stakeholders with cost rationalization and funding discussions related to technology scope.

Technology Operations and Support

  • Lead cutover and stabilization efforts for technology systems during preopening and immediate postopening phases.

  • Provide technical leadership and documentation for operational handover to property IT teams.

  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technology operations business continuity data privacy (PII) and cybersecurity compliance.

Vendor and Partner Management

  • Source vet negotiate and manage technology vendors integrators and consultants supporting openings and transitions.

  • Enforce service level agreements and performance standards.

  • Build strong partnerships with vendors to ensure innovative scalable and costeffective technology solutions.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Auberges cybersecurity data protection and IT policy standards for all new properties.

  • Oversee incident response disaster recovery planning and compliance readiness as part of the technology deployment.


Qualifications :

  • 8 years of progressive IT leadership experience ideally within luxury hospitality with a focus on hotel openings property transitions or major capital projects.

  • Strong knowledge of building construction phases and how IT systems integrate into architectural MEP and low voltage planning.

  • Expertise in hospitality core systems (PMS POS CRM IPTV BMS WiFi telephony financial systems security platforms).

  • Proven ability to manage crossfunctional technology projects on time on budget and to scope.

  • Experience with IT infrastructure standards cybersecurity frameworks and cloudbased enterprise solutions.

  • Excellent project management skills communication abilities and organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (Development Operations Design & Construction Finance) and external partners (consultants contractors vendors).

  • Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50%) including internationally to support project needs.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification

  • ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Certification (IT Service Management)

  • CISSP CISM or other cybersecurity certifications (a plus)

  • Additional technical certifications in cloud services (AWS Azure) networking (CCNA CCNP) or system administration (Microsoft Google) are desirable.

The Director of IT role offers a base salary range of $165$190 plus an annual bonus as well as comprehensive medical dental vision and voluntary benefits 401k employer match employer paid life insurance and an employee assistance program and a team member hotel stay program.
