We are looking for Cost Manager to support the project controls teams based in Riyadh Saudi Arabia

Key Competencies and Underpinning Knowledge:

• Good working knowledge of financial systems.

• Understand the interrelationship between time cost and commercial aspects of the project life cycle.

• Working knowledge of Primavera.

• Experienced in the use of SAP Finance and Project modules.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Project Controls leadership team you will be responsible for building long term sustainable relationships with the client base.

What you will bring:

• Technical experience in Cost Management services across complex infrastructure.

• An understanding of industry benchmarks / best practices Cost and Work Breakdown Structures and methods of measurements (e.g. RMM NRM etc).

• Growing network within the sector.

• An aptitude to apply innovation technical excellence and exceptional service delivery.

• Experience of monitoring analysing and controlling cost performance against set targets.

• Examples of identifying/applying cost efficient solutions.

• Collaborative behaviours to interface with multidisciplinary teams.

• Awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the industry.

• Commercial quantity surveying and/or finance skills with working knowledge of the construction industry and an understanding of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC/FIDIC/IChemE).

• Awareness of performance measurement of projects using Earned Value Management (EVM) and similar techniques.

Your purpose:

• Support our Cost Management capability including development and use of PowerBI PRISM Oracle Deltek Ecosys and other Cost Management related software.

• Engage our community of practice and support technical excellence service innovation and development of our benchmarking capabilities.

• Deliver excellent client service on our commissions.

• Support teams on project / technical delivery.

Strategic:

• Support with delivering the strategy for the Cost Management Service including identifying continuous development.

• Deliver an exceptional cost management service for multiple stakeholders.

• Contribute to a positive team ethos and engage with opportunities for the teams development.

Business Development:

• Support with the Cost Management business development activity.

• Engagement and understanding of internal business processes.

• Support key accounts to maximize our impact.

Project leadership:

• Having responsibility in delivering portfolios and projects.

• Be the ambassador for AtkinsRalis your profession and the professional institution to which you belong.

• Supporting with technical advice to different stakeholders.

• Competence in project commercial accountability.

Technical leadership:

• Actively broaden your experience and expertise in line with the core competencies.

• Have a developing knowledge of legal and technical matters relevant to the work you do and the law of the region or country in which you practice.

• Participating in relevant internal/external training initiatives.

• Applying the concepts of quality assurance and environmental management.

• Supporting the client relationship and service delivery.

Team building and management:

• Helping grow our service and sectorfocused teams.

• Actively engaging within a project delivery environment.

• Mentor and develop Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the client team.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with an Engineering degree.

• Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery preferably in a highly regulated environment.

• Evidence of strong engineering background ideally within a safety/regulated environment.

• High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.

• Excellent MS Office skills and well versed in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word Excel and PowerPoint.

• Exhibits a strong awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team function to support the successful delivery of projects.

• The ability to reconcile cost information as it applies to the programmes of work.

• Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling programming and risk tools.

• Proficient in the use of Earned Value Analysis.

• Self motivated with good interpersonal skills working in a team environment.

• Good attention to detail with good time management skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Able to use initiative.

• Ability to work flexibly within the demands of the project.
