We are currently seeking an Operations Controller to join our Operations team at our Burton Latimer site on a full time permanent basis!
As an Operations Controller you will contribute to the success of the site by managing drivers and vehicles ensuring that legal requirements are adhered to vehicles are roadworthy and drivers working within EU driver regulations. You will also have some responsibility for effective site management in accordance with company policies and procedures ensuring compliance with relevant H&S regulations.
Shift: 4 on 4 off 18:00 06:00.
Salary: 33945 per annum.
Key Duties of an Operations Controller include:
Depot reports to be completed daily in agreed timelines.
Manage driver recruitment liaising with the driver trainer to ensure all new drivers are correctly assessed interviewed and inducted into the business.
Be responsible for new Employee Details Form current address and contact numbers next of kin details all signed Safe Systems of Work (SSW) documentation signed off tachograph infringement records holiday request documents appraisal file note and disciplinary records.
Conduct exit interviews and complete documentation relating to leavers forwarding to Payroll/HR dept.
Manage drivers holiday plan within agreed levels.
Managing driver absences in line with the Company sickness and absence policy
Management of agency driver booking and to ensure that the agency driver procedures are followed in particular Safe Systems of Work.
Management of drivers Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
Infringement management in line with the Company tachograph policy.
Investigate all incidents accidents and near misses uploading all those deemed major to the Company reporting system.
Investigation of all unaccounted distance occurrences.
Booking of CPC course ensuring drivers are completing annual requirement of hours.
Weekly completion of agency pay queries and made up hours report.
Investigating PCN/NIPs taking further action with drivers where necessary.
Monitor Microlise usage and take further action for noncompliance.
Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are fully complied with including relevant Health & Safety and statutory legislation. Comply with Company Disciplinary Procedure and ensure Grievance Procedure is followed correctly.
Carrying out additional tasks delegated by the Management Team.
