The Fort Myers office of Kubicki Draper is accepting applications from attorneys interested in joining their construction defect litigation practice. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney with at least 5 of those years specifically focused on construction defect matters. Must be a member of the FLORIDA BAR in good standing to be considered. Board Certification in Construction a plus!
Requirements
- Strong legal research and excellent writing skills as well as possess strong/persuasive oral advocacy
- Desire to excel and work your way up the ranks of the law firm
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to our clients with a client first mindset
- Highly organized with clear and concise communication style
- Must be a selfstarter independent worker and goaloriented with a focus on longterm career goals
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must be competent & proficient in the use of Word Microsoft Office PowerPoint & Excel
- Draft/review substantive pleadings and motions
- Draft/review comprehensive litigation plans and budgets
- Respond to motions & discovery
- Attend hearings depositions mediations non binding arbitrations meetings with clients as well as negotiate settlements
- Communicate in a highly effective manner with team members and clients
- Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment
