We are looking for a high performing Intern to join our Finance team. This position will directly support our Accounting Manager with exposure to other members of our Finance team including senior management.

Within the Finance team the intern will have the chance to become involved in:

• Tasks that are analytical / datafocused and will use either Microsoft Excel or bespoke accountancy software
• Documentation of finance function tasks
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Preparation of financial reports and filings with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulatory bodies
• Assisting in internal and external audit requests
• Assisting the corporate accounting team in various ad hoc tasks
• Interns will have the opportunity to shadow finance team members during internal meetings

Core qualifications and requirements for this position include:

• Two (2) or more years of education towards a degree in Insurance Risk Management Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in the use of computer applications including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
• High level attention to detail and analytical ability
• Ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization
• High level of integrity and trust and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must display a professional demeanor and ability to work in a team environment

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience.

• New York City metro areas: $20 $25 per hour
