Position Overview

The Illinois Liquor Control Commission is seeking to hire an Executive II (Program Specialist) to oversee operations within the Chicago Office Industry Education Division. This individual will manage the agencys statewide education programs ensuring efficient and effective operation through the development execution and evaluation of key program components. This includes the administration of policies forms and reports related to training certificates fiscal reporting and trainee profiles. They will maintain a high level of expertise in industry trends legislative changes and best practices ensuring the programs alignment with evolving standards. In this role the Program Specialist will also be tasked with conducting compliance checks and audits of training providers reviewing course curricula and assessing the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance metrics. This position will require strong skills in designing and delivering dynamic training sessions using a variety of instructional methods and technologies to engage diverse audiences. They will collaborate with the Industry Education team to create training materials presentations and curriculum content that promote effective learning outcomes. Additionally the Program Specialist will be responsible for managing the agencys program publications and increasing community visibility by attending events such as festivals farmers markets and municipal gatherings. This role includes developing promotional materials including brochures and industry insights to support the agencys educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the programs objectives demonstrate excellent communication skills and ensure the continuous development and training of staff to promote a culture of ongoing improvement. The Program Specialist will also support the troubleshooting of software issues ensuring the seamless operation of program tools and systems.

About the Agency

The Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC) protects the health and safety of the public through careful oversight of the manufacture distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages. As a regulatory agency we handle all licensing compliance and enforcement issues. However we also focus on public health and safety concerns particularly preventing underage drinking. We provide industry education guidelines on responsible selling and serving of alcohol public service announcements and materials teen awareness campaigns about alcohol use and parental responsibility initiatives.
