Element has an opportunity for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager with SHE (Safety Health and Environmental) responsibilities who will support the Huntington Beach testing facility. This person is responsible for executing and overseeing daily facility operations maintenance activities and SHE compliance at the site. This role ensures that the facility infrastructure equipment and workplace conditions are maintained to meet operational and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
Salary: $100000 $130000 yr DOE
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for:
Facilities & Maintenance
Coordinate and perform maintenance and repair activities for building systems utilities and production support equipment
Support planning and execution of facility improvements equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules
Serve as primary contact for facilityrelated vendors contractors and service providers
Manage contractors and ensure all work is performed to high standards of quality and safety
Support planning and execution of facility improvements equipment installations and infrastructure upgrade
Monitor maintenance inventory and request purchase of parts tools and materials as needed
Works collaboratively with department managers and operations leaders to resolve any facilityrelated issues
SHE (Safety Health & Environmental)
Act as the onsite SHE point of contact ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits inspections and risk assessments; track and follow up on corrective actions.
Responsible for the management of waste disposal (hazardous and nonhazardous) as well as recycling materials
Maintain accurate documentation including training records permits MSDS/SDS and incident logs.
Lead or support incident investigations root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct all required training including: new hire safety orientation monthly safety training sessions and visitor and contractor safety inductions
Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety expectations and awareness.
Ability to speak effectively deliver key messages and train diverse groups at all personnel levels.
Works collaboratively with department managers and operations leaders to resolve any safetyrelated issues
Support emergency response planning and drills
Promote employee participation in the Safety Health and Environmental program(s)
Associates or Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering Occupational Safety or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 35 years of handson experience managing facilities and maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational troubleshooting and communication skills.
