Job Description

As one of the fastestgrowing warehousing and logistics companies in North America were looking for an experienced1st Shift MATERIALS TECHNICIAN who will beresponsible for ensuring that material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner ensuring shipping orders are not delinquent. Hours are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3pm.

  • Manage inventory using a MinMax method.
  • Determine inbound windows to ensure a smooth flow of material.
  • Maintain the layout for all material received and manage material flow using scanning technology to route and deliver Material.
  • Manage returnable containers to suppliers.
  • Manage engineering change process to ensure breakpoints are achieved.
  • Participate and engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate and interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
  • Complete weekly layered audits.
  • Monitor supplier nonconformance and issue PRRs accordingly.
  • Monitor inbound loads for timelines and update materials records.
  • Monitor and measure inventory via cycle counting and 4 wall inventory count.
  • Work and communicate with customers and Material department to ensure the delivery of parts.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Warehouse experience (REQUIRED)
  • Inventory experience (REQUIRED)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel (REQUIRED)
  • Great communications skills both verbal and written (REQUIRED)
  • Knowledge of SAP (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
  • Able to drive forklift or cherry picker (HIGHLY PREFFERED)
  • Prior manufacturing experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
