Able to work 40 hours/week 4 days in SLC office and 1 day remote
Prepare metadata for digital records to be published on platforms
Perform data analysis and investigate/resolve datarelated inquiries
Collaborate on implement and adhere to internal image and metadata quality standards in historical record databases
Train volunteers and employees on tools and processes including regular feedback
Work with volunteers and missionaries on assigned tasks
Meet regularly with crossfunctional teams to maintain quality and process standards and guidelines resolve issues and coordinate projects
Research localities and their history
Enter quality metadata for digital historical records to facilitate patron research
Recently completed or currently working toward a professional degree in information sciences family history/genealogy linguistics history or a related field. Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation.
Skills and Abilities:
read/write/speak Russian or Ukrainian
possess familiarity with historical records and reading old handwriting
possess some skill/knowledge in preparing training materials
possess interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a local and distributed workforce to organize and monitor projects
perform data analysis and research
keep confidences and appropriately deal with sensitive data and documents
acquire indepth knowledge of department processes and operations
use standard desktop software including Microsoft Office apps
use the Family History Library Catalog and resources
possess Cyrillic reading skills (both handwritten and typed)
