Business/Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Position Summary

The Systems Engineer III will be responsible for ensuring the reliability availability and scalability of critical custom fulfillment and licensing applications. Systems under the care of a Systems Engineer III must operate effectively and reliably through scalable solutions and complex architecturesthat encompass modern technologies. You will work closely with technical and nontechnical teams within the organization to facilitate the design and implementation of solutions support automation initiatives and monitor and maintain the performance of critical systems.

What Youll Do

  • Support and maintain technology systems to ensure optimal performance reliability and security.
  • Build and deploy technology solutions translated from user stories and requirements. Manage the system lifecycle from implementation to shut down and decommissioning.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation and evolve systems by fostering changes that improve velocity. Leverage automation and configuration management to streamline systems administration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues including process/systems failures connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement scalable and robust system architectures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new solutions tools and methodologies to enhance system efficiency security and productivity.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues generate meaningful reports and implement preventive measures to maintain system health and uptime.
  • Recommend performance tuning and optimization activities to maximize system efficiency and response times.
  • Respond to and help manage incidents. Participate in RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders
  • Available for escalations outside office hours
  • Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation including standard operating procedures configurations and troubleshooting guides to support endusers ability to use the systems effectively.
  • Responsible for upholding F5s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What Youll Bring

  • Excellent analytical critical thinking troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an integral member of an agile team
  • Proficient communication planning and organization skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines
  • Strong understanding of registration key or JWT based fulfillment and licensing a plus

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years experience in Systems Engineering or a similar role in a technology environment
  • Proficiency in TSQL and Azure capabilities with the ability to create complex queries
  • Hands on experience using eventbased technologies like ASB Solace etc.
  • Hands on experience supporting both ETL and REST API based integrations

The annual base pay for this position is: $128099.00 $192149.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
