Job Description

As part of the Amazonwide Amzonian Leadership Experiences team the Executive Talent Maangement teams mission is to enable Amazon to build healthy and effective organizations with the right leaders in the right roles at the right time. We develop philosophies mechanisms and products that guide leaders to inspect and make datadriven decisions to improve their organizational operating models and executive talent. A successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and launch of a variety of core product features designing the system architecture and promoting code quality and best practices. You are passionate about the customer experience take pride in building high quality software and have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering new features and products. Key job responsibilities
Proficiency in Java or any other object oriented programming is required and the ideal candidate is an expert in at least one of these languages.

Work closely with senior engineers UX designers and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.
Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
Develop/maintain operational rigor for the rigor of a fastgrowing Amazon Search stack.
Help with hiring and mentoring.
Take userfacing features from design to implementation coding both the UI and backend functionality.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

About the team
The Executive Talent Management team was formed in November 2023 to create a singlethreaded focus within Amazonian Leadership Experiences team. The team owns an enterprisewide product: Executive Talent Management a succession planning product that helps leaders identify talent for critical roles and plan for future talent moves. This product helps leaders translate business strategy into executive talent needs then identify develop and match successors to the right roles. This growing team partners with Research Science UX Design and additional talent management teams across the company to build innovative experiences for Amazons leaders and their HR partners.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
