Fords Electric Vehicles Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the companys vision of a fully electric transportation future. Responsibilities
What youll do...
Lead and manage highperforming QA System Integration and System Engineering teams responsible for the development of IVI systems for a transformative new line of Electric Vehicles.
Integrate and test high performance compute and realtime software stacks
Integrate software and hardware components within and across subsystems
Apply system engineering to design develop and deploy production quality software
Build prototypes to prove out design concepts
Productize proof of concepts
Drive crossfunctional projects to ensure ontime delivery
Debug and solve ambiguous problems ranging from component to system level
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including hardware software UX/UI and quality assurance to integrate Android systems with Fords EV ecosystem.
Define and drive the system integration and QA strategies and roadmap for IVI system quality ensuring alignment with Fords longterm goals and vision for electric vehicles.
Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to engineers fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and excellence.
Manage project timelines priorities and resources to ensure successful ontime delivery of IVI solutions.
Champion best practices in software development including code quality security and performance optimization.
Qualifications
Youll have...
Bachelors degree or better in software engineering computer science or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
10 years of software development experience in the automotive industry
Deep understanding of InVehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems and automotive technologies
Experience with crossfunctional collaboration including hardware software and UX/UI teams.
Experience in managing complex projects and delivering them on time.
Excellent leadership mentoring and communication skills.
Experience with embedded application development
Experience integrating automotive subsystems including real time software solutions
Record of delivering products/software features in the automotive industry
Proven experience in building and leading teams
Strong problemsolving abilities and a resultsdriven mindset.
