The Assessment & Analysis Manager leads the development and execution of integrated assessment strategies to evaluate organizational performance identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence. This role combines strategic planning data analysis and team development to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Maintain the Integrated Assessment Schedule (IAS):
Create and manage a comprehensive schedule of assessments across the organization.
Track performance and ensure timely execution of scheduled assessments.
Conduct highrisk assessments independently to increase the volume and quality of objective evaluations.
Incorporate assessments of effectiveness and efficiency into compliance reviews or evaluations
2. Establish Tools and Processes for Process Analysis:
Design and implement methodologies to analyze organizational processes.
Identify and recommend improvements that enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Invest in Staff Development:
Build and mentor a highperforming team with elite skills in assessment and process analysis.
Provide training coaching and professional development opportunities to elevate team capabilities.
4. Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics Teams:
Partner with UCORs data science and analytics functions to inform assessment planning and execution.
Leverage data insights to prioritize assessments and refine methodologies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Design and implement assessment frameworks aligned with strategic goals.
Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Develop reports dashboards and presentations to communicate findings.
Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and datainformed decisionmaking.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics Business Public Administration Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics Business Public Administration Engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in assessment auditing or performance analysis.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools such as Excel Power BI Tableau or similar.
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
Excellent communication leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to obtain a DOE QClearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government contracting environmental management or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with integrated assessment systems and enterprise risk management.
- Certifications such as PMP Lean Six Sigma or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
LOCATION:
This fulltime onsite position is located at the UCOR office in Oak Ridge TN. UCOR is conducting major cleanup activities at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Y12 National Security Complex as well as remedial activities at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). Cleanup missions on the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR) focus on protecting people and the environment from industrial and chemical hazards while enabling current and future science and national security programs. UCOR also leads critical projects (e.g. Outfall 200 Mercury Treatment Facility and the Environmental Management Disposal Facility) and manages nuclear operations facilities at the ORNL and Transuranic Waste Processing Center. As a DOE Voluntary Protection Star sitethe highest safety designation for a DOE sitesafety is a prerequisite for the performance of all work performed.
