Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Speech and Language Therapist on a 12month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 377.79524.00/Day

Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Locum Speech and Language Therapists to join our dynamic team working with children under the age of five and their families in Tower Hamlets. This exciting opportunity supported by shortterm government funding allows you to contribute to a pioneering 18month pilot project aimed at transforming support for children with emerging Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role offers both facetoface and virtual engagement and provides flexibility in working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targetedlevel intervention groups for parents and children under five in both inperson and online formats.
  • Assess young children with communication needs and identify appropriate strategies.
  • Provide written advice and input for Education Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments.
  • Implement tailored therapeutic interventions for children with language difficulties.
  • Collaborate closely with professionals including occupational therapists educational psychologists and Early Help services.

Requirements:

  • Valid HCPC registration
  • Completion of NQP (Newly Qualified Practitioner) competencies.
  • Demonstrable experience working in community settings with children under 5 who have communication difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and emerging SEND support.
  • Ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds and adapt practices to individual needs.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
