We are hiring immediately for a full time Equipment Maintenance Technician. With a culture rooted in continuous improvement this role is mission critical.

Your role:

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician you can expect to be our goto for driving continuous improvement in the equipment and & maintenance process. More specifically in this role you:

  • Functional knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical pneumatic and electronic factory equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures find root cause and communicate actions taken to the rest of the team. Detailed recordkeeping of actions taken in equipment logs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with established PM schedules and methods. Take initiative to improve PM documentation and methods.
  • Assist in design fabrication and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic use of powered hand tools for cutting and grinding of metal fixtures.
  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds (some weekends and holidays required).
  • Properly identify parts and supplies needed to support repairs and upgrades of equipment. Obtain quotes and order parts from suppliers.
  • Assist engineers and factory managers with installation and relocation of process equipment. Assist in performing production line safety reviews and equipment reliability qualifications.
  • Perform hazard and ergonomic assessments and resulting upgrades of new and existing process equipment.
  • Follow established safety and change management processes.
  • May require travel to other sites or equipment vendors locations on occasion (approx. 23 times per year).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist higher level technicians in troubleshooting more complex equipment problems.
  • Mentor lower level maintenance technicians.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Maintain equipment to established PM cycles.
  • Write equipment specs support design reviews interface with equipment vendors on equipment SOWs.

Qualifications External

Requirements:

  • 7 years experience in Automation maintenance knowledge.
  • PLC knowledge required. Laser systems knowledge required.
  • General electrical and mechanical knowledge; basic math skills; able to read blueprints and schematics Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge required.
  • MIG/TIG Welding skills are desirable but are not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
