We are hiring immediately for a full time Equipment Maintenance Technician. With a culture rooted in continuous improvement this role is mission critical.
Your role:
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician you can expect to be our goto for driving continuous improvement in the equipment and & maintenance process. More specifically in this role you:
- Functional knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical pneumatic and electronic factory equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures find root cause and communicate actions taken to the rest of the team. Detailed recordkeeping of actions taken in equipment logs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with established PM schedules and methods. Take initiative to improve PM documentation and methods.
- Assist in design fabrication and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
- Basic use of powered hand tools for cutting and grinding of metal fixtures.
- Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds (some weekends and holidays required).
- Properly identify parts and supplies needed to support repairs and upgrades of equipment. Obtain quotes and order parts from suppliers.
- Assist engineers and factory managers with installation and relocation of process equipment. Assist in performing production line safety reviews and equipment reliability qualifications.
- Perform hazard and ergonomic assessments and resulting upgrades of new and existing process equipment.
- Follow established safety and change management processes.
- May require travel to other sites or equipment vendors locations on occasion (approx. 23 times per year).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist higher level technicians in troubleshooting more complex equipment problems.
- Mentor lower level maintenance technicians.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Maintain equipment to established PM cycles.
- Write equipment specs support design reviews interface with equipment vendors on equipment SOWs.

Requirements:
- 7 years experience in Automation maintenance knowledge.
- PLC knowledge required. Laser systems knowledge required.
- General electrical and mechanical knowledge; basic math skills; able to read blueprints and schematics Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge required.
- MIG/TIG Welding skills are desirable but are not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
