Job Description

Job Description Summary
The Undergraduate Research Assistant will support the GRAIL Laboratory in basic biomechanics and gait experiments. This role involves assisting with participant communication helping during experimental sessions organizing laboratory supplies and providing basic troubleshooting support for smartphone applications used in studies. The position offers a handson learning opportunity in a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities
Assist in contacting and scheduling research participants. Help set up equipment and organize materials needed for simple laboratory experiments. Support research staff during data collection sessions (e.g. handing out supplies recording session times). Monitor and maintain lab inventories and ensure supplies are organized. Provide basic assistance with smartphone applications used by study participants. Report regularly to the Principal Investigator on lab activities and any operational issues.

Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing. Ability to follow instructions carefully and perform assigned tasks reliably. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong communication skills for interacting with research staff and participants.
