- Estimate Compensation: $80.47 $88.91/per hour
- Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year occurring on day one.
- Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.
- Relationship: 1099 Independent Contractor.
Working Hours
Estimated at 9 hours a day 3 days a week no more than 167 hours per 6 months per year.
SUMMARY
The Endodontic Dentist specializes in diagnosing and treating issues related to the dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth. This role involves performing root canal treatments endodontic surgeries and other procedures to preserve natural teeth and alleviate pain. The Endodontist works closely with general dentists and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited dental school and possess a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree.
- Graduate of an accredited residency program in endodontic dentistry.
- Certified by the American Board of Dentistry.
- Licensed in a state of the United States or its territories in order to practice Endodontic dentistry
- Credentialed and privileged to provide endodontic dental services through the Albuquerque Indian Dental Clinic.
- Minimum of 13 years of clinical experience in endodontics preferred though new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in endodontic procedures and use of dental operating microscopes.
- Excellent diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to patientcentered care and clinical excellence.
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and surrounding tissues.
- Perform root canal therapy retreatments apicoectomies and other endodontic procedures.
- Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools such as CBCT and digital radiography.
- Educate patients on treatment options procedures and postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.
- Collaborate with referring dentists and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.
- Stay current with advancements in endodontic techniques materials and technologies.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
