About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Management Professional to join our Bushfire Mitigation Program team. This role involves coordinating and supporting multifunctional project teams through the program delivery process including the scoping design and delivery of Site Assessment and Gap Treatment Works.
You will support the execution of works in accordance with our Program Management Procedures and OSH Environmental and Quality Management Systems while monitoring controlling reviewing and forecasting project outcomes.
Additionally you will prepare progress reports support the preparation of project management plans and negotiate service agreements.
Key responsibilities include obtaining necessary project approvals conducting detailed site assessments scheduling and supervising site Gap Treatment activities and supporting contract negotiations and procurement.
You will analyse bids coordinate consultants assess progress claims and ensure contractor performance reports are completed on time cost OSH quality and environment.
To be highly effective in this role you will need substantial experience in Gap Treatment activities including prescribed burns weed spraying and mechanical clearing principles.
You should also have significant experience in conducting Bushfire Risk Assessments and managing contractors onsite a strong background in project management particularly with a focus on fieldwork delivery.
Additionally you must possess strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders along with a sound understanding of stakeholder requirements and the technical and commercial aspects of delivering environmental services.
Ideally you will hold or be working towards a BAL Assessor Level 1 qualification.
