Job Description
Bear Events a Denverbased event company is seeking a skilled and reliable Set Fabricator for parttime hire. We need a builder with the ability to create temporary structures props and warehouse tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working in events film and/or theater.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble set pieces based on designer specifications
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely in our workshop
- Table saw miter saw router etc.
- Collaborate with project manager to meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensure all set pieces are structurally sound and meet safety standards
- Repair inventory and equipment as needed
- Build warehouse tools such as furniture dollies carts etc.
- Travel onsite for custom builds (occasional)
- Proven experience as a builder in the entertainment industry or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction materials tools and techniques
- Knowledge of working with other materials such as acrylic metal foam etc.
- Proficient with paints and stains
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills
- Ability to accurately quote materials and labor costs
- Ability to multitask on simultaneous projects often with short or overlapping deadlines
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Experience building stage flats
- Rigging certification
- OSHA training
