Job Description
Truck Driver Miramar CA
***THIS POSITION REQUIRES A NACI CLEARANCE***
SUMMARY
The Truck driver operates a truck to transport materials and equipment between various locations. The driver may also be responsible for loading and unloading materials and equipment in support of the Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP). The primary objective of the CSP is to provide organization and individual issue recovery storage requisitioning maintenance and repair management (including visibility accountability automated shelflife management and forecasting) for equipment to support the warfighter.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Truck Driver: $21.91 per hour
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time SCA benefits include Medical Dental Vision 401K and other possible benefits as are subject to change with or without notice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates truck 1 1/2 to 4 tons inclusive usually 6 wheels.
- This driver may also load or unload truck with or without helpers make minor mechanical repairs and keep truck in good working order.
Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five (5) years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated driving safety record
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) investigation to obtain base access and DoD computer system access.
- Must be detailedoriented demonstrate good timemanagement skills and manage workload with minimal oversight.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and be accommodating.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficiency with phone systems database MS Windows MS Office and tracking systems.
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs bending and standing for long periods of time.
