Job Description
The Wheeling location of NSI is a manufacturer of a large and diverse line of cord connectors cable grips wire mesh grips and cable glands that has been in business for 60 years and we look forward to having you join our team!
Responsibilities
- Pick and visually inspect all components for each job traveler as issued
- Verify that proper components are picked
- Receive materials into the Epicor system against purchase orders (P.O.)
- Use handheld device to receive materials and perform transfers between facilities
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools fixtures materials and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
- Coordinate and expedite flow of materials parts and assemblies between assembly lines or departments according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities as well as comply with and maintain manual or computerize records
- Review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors/coordinators to determine material requirements to identify materials and to track material
- Monitor and control movement of material and parts
- Participate in cycle count process as required or instructed
Position Requirements:
- At least 13 years experience in a similar role
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with electronic handheld devices
- Ability to operate forklift equipment safely experience preferred
Salary: $18.00/hr.
