Description

Grade UE06:per annum (based on a 35 hour work week)

Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week (35 salaried hours 2.5 hours weekly contractual overtime)

Working MondayFriday 8.30am5pm (times TBC with successful candidate)

Fixedterm: 14month Maternity Cover

Our nurses are required to cover one weekend shift per month paid as overtime

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity foran RCVS registered veterinary nurseto join our dedicated orthopaedic nursing team at the Hospital for Small Animals.

The Orthopaedic Surgery Service at HfSA delivers worldleading care for companion animals with cuttingedge treatments for joint diseases fractures and lameness team contains RCVS and European board certified Specialists working alongside our orthopaedic specialist nurses. The team also work closely with the REPAIR Centre to optimise assessments and postoperative rehabilitation.

Extensive training will be provided with opportunities to shadow experienced nursing staff across all areas of the hospital.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Being an RCVS registered veterinary nurse is essential.
  • Excellent organisational and communications skills are essential.
  • Keen dedicationto teachingthe next generation of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nursesis essential.
