Job Description

SUMMARY
The Detailer and Graphics Installer is responsible for installing graphics and painting parts on aircraft refueler and vacuum trucks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Prepare truck and/or tank for paint graphics and placards.
  • Cut prepare and apply vinyl graphics up to 30 long and 5 wide on circular surfaces at times from a ladder.
  • Mask or tape off detailed components to avoid contamination.
  • Wash the exterior and detail the interior of a vehicle according to Company standards.
  • Mix paint according to specifications.
  • Operate and clean air spray gun.
  • Ability to polish and buff imperfections when necessary (mostly on aluminum tanks).
  • Maintain cleanliness of garage/shop maintenance including a weekly floor sweep organization of shelves supply cabinets etc.
  • Ensure proper inventory of supplies and coordinate with Manager for ordering when necessary.
  • Follow Company detail checklist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES include but are not limited to the following.
  • Proven experience with successful vehicle graphics installation and painting.
  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements.
  • Must be a selfstarter and highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and seek perfection.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fastpaced environment
  • Must have good math skills and measuring capabilities.
  • Must work well with other employees and be a team player with a positive attitude.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL
This position does not travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience installing vehicle graphics and painting large equipment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk crawl stoop and reach and feel with hands and arms and will regularly use a ladder or stepstool. The employee is required to see to inspect the details of his/her work. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands for using the computer and assembling information; must be able to clearly communicate with others either verbally or via written communication. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and might occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud consisting of normal vehicle shop equipment and activities. Employee works inside a building that is not climate controlled environment.
