Who are we looking for
GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Part Time As Needed Senior Traffic Modeler to work from our Roseville or Sacramento CA office. This Senior level position requires application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related transportation engineering tasks.
This position will provide you with an opportunity to work with a team of engineers who are recognized as industry leaders in traffic signals intelligent transportation systems modern roundabouts active transportation innovative intersections complete streets and more. We are seeking a selfmotivated and active networker who values building credible relationships with clients and the community.
This position may require occasional travel generally within California but possibly to other parts of the western United States for meetings conferences or site visits.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparing and running travel demand models using TransCAD CUBE and/or VISUM
- Developing regional and projectlevel traffic forecasts
- Analyzing transportation problems and identifying potential solutions
- Preparing tables figures and writing for technical reports and presentations
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors degree in transportation engineering urban planning transportation planning economics urban geography. Masters degree strongly preferred.
- Training and at least 3 years of experience in travel demand modeling in TransCAD CUBE VISUM EMME or similar software
- Strong MSExcel skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Professional certification in relevant field (PE TE or AICP)
- Enthusiastic and flexible with attention to detail

Salary Range: $95.19 $63.46 based on experience.
