Cloud ArchitectWhat does a successful Certified Handson Azure Architect do at Fiserv
A successful Certified Handson Azure Architect at Fiserv drives AI/ML and cloud initiatives by designing deploying and managing scalable highperformance solutions on Microsoft Azure. They play a key role in migrating applications to Azure and integrating Kubernetes collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver toptier infrastructure and cloudnative applications.
What you will do:
- Lead the design implementation and optimization of scalable secure and costeffective Azurebased architectures for new and existing systems.
- Drive endtoend migration of largescale enterprise applications (100 apps) from onpremises or other cloud platforms to Microsoft Azure ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Design and implement Kubernetes clusters (AKS Openshift) for microservices architectures ensuring high availability security and performance across environments.
- Develop and automate deployment pipelines using Github actions or Gitlab and other cloudnative tools to streamline infrastructure and application delivery.
- Work closely with DevOps development and operations teams to ensure best practices for cloud architecture containerization and orchestration; mentor junior architects and engineers in cloudnative technologies and operations in managing production environments in Azure.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance security and scalability of the Azure cloud infrastructure Kubernetes clusters and Istio service meshes.
What you will need to have:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification.
- 5 years of experience architecting deploying and managing Azurebased cloud infrastructures and applications using Terraform scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- 3 years of proven experience managing productionlevel Kubernetes clusters in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience successfully migrating 100 applications to the cloud focusing on application replatforming refactoring and liftandshift strategies.
- Expertise in Azure networking security storage and compute services.
What would be great to have:
- 3 years of experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- 2 years of experience with container orchestration beyond Kubernetes including Docker Swarm or OpenShift.
- 4 years of experience developing distributed enterprise applications on the cloud using Java or Python.
