Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Project Air Quality Engineer to join our Sustainable Operations team in any of the following office: Denver CO; Tampa FL; Chicago IL; Indianapolis IN; Baton Rouge LA; New Orleans LA; Detroit MI; Novi MI; Minneapolis MN; Hillsborough NJ; Columbus OH; Wexford PA; Austin TX; Houston TX; Seattle WA; and Milwaukee WI. This job can also be performed remotely from a location that is within driving distance to any Arcadis US office. This will be a hybrid/remote role with occasional visits to client sites.
In this role you will work directly with other air quality engineers on air quality permitting sustainability reporting and compliance projects providing support to our key clients. You will be responsible for emissions inventory development and reporting air permitting and compliance support engine and ozone depleting substances compliance greenhouse gas emissions calculations and/or air dispersion modeling.

Role accountabilities:
This role includes performing a wide variety of air quality services for clients in industries such as manufacturing automotive chemical transportation and oil and gas. While your project focus will be air quality you will have the opportunity to participate in other environmental compliance projects such as compliance auditing waste management stormwater permitting and SPCC plans.
- Apply your knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations to air permitting and compliance projects.
- Assist clients with routine air quality compliance reporting such as compliance certifications emissions tracking deviation reports and MACT reports.
- Assist with the preparation of air permit applications such as PermitsbyRule minor NSR FESOP Title V PSD (and PSD avoidance) and NonAttainment NSR (and NNSR Avoidance).
- Collaborate with Arcadis air team leaders to ensure application of regulatory knowledge analytical techniques and excellent project delivery.
- Support project teams to deliver high quality on time on budget project deliverables.
- Perform emissions calculations for regulated air pollutants and greenhouse gases to be included in reporting such as emission inventories Toxics Release Inventories and Tier II.
- Support client and proposal development activities.
In this role you must be willing to travelup to 1020% for project and client needs which may include single overnight trips. Most work can be performed from an Arcadis office location or remotely.
Qualifications & Experience:
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Air Quality
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in the fields listed above
- EIT or PE registration

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
