Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Road Technician to join our team at our State College PA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting diagnosing repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment including loaders excavators bulldozers and other construction or industrial machinery. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude attention to detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Job Overview:
- Inspect troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant health safety and environmental standards.
- Operate and test repaired equipment to verify functionality.
- Fulltime position with excellent benefits and competitive compensation. 4050 hours per week.
- Some oncall responsibilities may apply.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Technical or trade school certification in heavy equipment repair or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or technician.
- Indepth knowledge of diesel engines hydraulic systems and heavy equipment components.
- Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient with hand and power tools diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment.
- Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Physically able to lift heavy components and work in various positions and environments.
Estimated annual compensation: $70000 $100000 (dependent on experience)
