Job Description
The Drivers Helper works in the field assisting the Driver in delivering cabinets to each job ensuring products are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
- Physically capable of lifting boxes up to 75 pounds
- Transport boxes using dollies and pallet jacks
- Knowledge of GPS devise usage At times a helper may need to navigate for a driver
- Knowledge of reading a map if required
- Ability to work on a set and/or changing schedule to meet company requirements
- Ability to work weekends if needed
- Follow routes and time schedules
- Work with driver to insure accurate loading and unloading of customer product
- Assist driver with all task with the exception off driving
- Report all issues with a delivery or deadline problems to a supervisor in a timely manner
- Be punctual to facilitate ontime deliveries
- Consistently dress in line with company clothing requirements
- Excellent external and internal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be focused confident and observant
- Safety conscious
- The capacity to carry out company obligations in an expert manner
- Ability to work in changing weather conditions
Knowledge Experience and Skills
- High school degree or equivalent
- Previous experience as driver helper strongly preferred
- Experience working in the residential construction industry a plus
- The successful candidate must be a strong team player who is able to work autonomously when required
