SENIOR MANAGER SEC REPORTING & TEHCNICAL ACCOUNTING
Location: Menlo Park CA Miami FL or Princeton NJ (ONSITE)
Overview of Role:
The Senior Manager SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will be responsible for SEC reporting and disclosures SOX implementation and be involved in complex accounting transactions including accruals collaboration accounting and equity accounting.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preparation of all external financial reporting including Forms 10K/10Q earnings releases proxy statement and other required SEC filings to ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Assist in preparation of the Statement of Cash Flows Statement of Shareholders equity Earnings per Share workbooks and other financial disclosure requirements with such filings
- Coordinate the information gathering process across the organization and interact with the Companys external auditors
- Review XBRL interactive data files for all Form 10Q and 10K filings in accordance with the SEC filing requirements
- Research document memos record and communicate technical accounting matters as they arise and journal entries for complex accounting transactions
- Analyze and interpret new accounting standards and SEC regulations research and provide appropriate accounting guidance related to various business transactions
- Research new disclosures and FASB accounting standards updates and work with external auditors on appropriate disclosure requirements
- Develop create and/or modify the companys financial accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the policies and procedures are in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Highly involved in the implementation of SOX controls and creating the appropriate policies and procedures over all cycles by creating and working with the individuals in the company and coordinate meetings with the internal auditors
- Stock compensation administration and accounting for sharebased compensation awards including stock options ESPP by performing the valuation of compensation granted calculation of monthly expense and forecasting future impact to the Company and all related stock compensation disclosure requirements
- Coordinate the Disclosure Committee meeting and manage SOX Section 302 and 906 subcertifications process
- Complete special projects as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
Experience Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum bachelors degree in accounting. CPA required
- Minimum 7 years of work experience including 3 years of Big Four public accounting experience and 2 years of industry experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP SEC reporting requirements and SarbanesOxley compliance requirements
- Resultsoriented strong organizational skills and time management skills with ability to multitask
- A team player willing to step in and help with other areas of accounting
- Excellent analytical interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Superb analytical strategic and critical thinking skills with impeccable attention to detail and strong prioritization and problemsolving skills
- Experience with SAP Shareworks and Workiva preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fastpaced environment
The pay range for this role is $153000 $180000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus stock benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
