Job Description
The Finance Technology (FinTech) Accounting Intelligence Services (AIS) team is building the future of Amazons internal accounting and finance applications using AI & ML to ensure complete timely and accurate financial data while enabling timely decisions through data driven insights. We build AI/ML systems that use Amazons vast landscape of transactional data and knowledge bases with the latest techniques for financial forecasting classification anomaly detection document processing and end user natural language Q&A purposes. We are seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to spearhead the development of Generative AI applications that will redefine the financial services industry. You will harness the transformative power of Large Language Models (LLMs) and multiagent architectures to drive disruptive innovation.
You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional business and engineering teams to identify and deliver highimpact use cases for Generative AI. You will design develop and evaluate Generative AI models and agents. You will partner with engineering teams to ensure seamless model deployment and integration into production systems while also driving continued scientific innovation as a published thought leader and practitioner.
You will mentor and develop junior scientists and engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will contribute to the broader research community by publishing your work in peerreviewed conferences and journals.

3 years of building models for business application experience
PhD or Masters degree and 4 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures parsing numerical optimization data mining parallel and distributed computing highperformance computing
Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and selfdeveloped code
Experience with modeling tools such as R scikitlearn Spark MLLib MxNet Tensorflow numpy scipy etc.
Track record of publications in toptier machine learning conferences or journals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
