Job Description

Utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision making skills works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in agerelated category and area of expertise.

WalkIn Care (Casual)

Fargo ND

Join a WalkIn Care team committed to customer service and patientcentered care. This continually growing clinic provides healthcare services to a variety of patients in both the WalkIn Care and Family Medicine settings. With the added convenience of Lab Radiology and Therapy Services onsite your acute care patients will receive care in a timely and efficient manner. The NP/PA will collaborate with a great group of fellow advanced practice clinicians physicians and support staff. Candidate will be required to rotate among other area walkin campuses for coverage (ND & MN licensure and DEA required.)

  • Must be able to care for all ages within scope of practice. Experience in family medicine walkin care emergency medicine or urgent care setting is preferred!
  • Casual status
  • 8 or 12hour shifts
  • Walkin care patient hours are Monday Friday from 8:00am to 7:30pm Saturdays from 9am4:30pm and Sundays from 12pm4:30pm.
  • Patient volume from 2535 per 12hr shift
  • No call
  • EPIC electronic medical record
  • Great team with strong mentors
  • ND & MN licensure and DEA required for cross coverage at other WalkIn Clinics

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision making skills the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in agerelated category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients coworkers and others.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelors/Masters degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
  • Ability to care for all ages within scope is required. Experience in Family Medicine Walkin Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine is preferred!
  • ND & MN licensure and DEA required for cross coverage

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in ND & MN
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in ND & MN
  • Current certification in CPR
  • National certification in applicable area.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
