Job Overview

British Councils English Language Centre in Paris was opened in 1998. We offer a wide range of Young Learner classes to 4000 learners aged between 3 and 17 during the Academic Year and to another 2000 during the holiday courses. The adult program began in 2007 and now offers the flexibility of MyClass a system in which adults book lessons individually as preference. A parttime teacher will be expected to be available to teach a range of ages and courses at any of the British Councils delivery locations and will work with a large and highly successful team of teachers and academic staff.

Role Purpose:

English language teachers in the ledeFrance region are committed to delivering highquality instruction ensuring effective learning tailored to diverse customer needs and individual styles. They provide regular feedback foster learner autonomy and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of courses and materials in collaboration with their teaching team. Beyond classroom teaching they fulfill administrative duties to maintain educational standards and support the broader mission of the British Council promoting cultural relations through language education.


Accountabilities

In the ledeFrance region English language teachers are responsible for planning preparing and delivering 6 to 12 hours of highquality instruction per week tailored to the needs of diverse customer groups and individual learning styles. They continuously monitor students progress provide regular feedback to support performance management and encourage learner autonomy. Additionally they contribute to the development evaluation and enhancement of courses materials and related services by collaborating with the teaching team to better meet students needs. Alongside their instructional duties teachers also complete administrative tasks to specified standards ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process.
